Delhi AISF State Conference

On August 21, 2010 AISF Delhi State conference held under the slogan of “stop commercialization, privatization and FDI in education ” at AITUC Bhawan ,New Delhi. Hundreds of students participated in it with the enthusiasms of fight for student rights.
Conference was inaugurated by Paramjeet Dhaban , National President AISF. In his inaugural speech he quoted on the crisis facing common student in the present scenario. Poor student facing fee hike and unemployment etc.
Amarjeet Kaur former AISF national general secretary was the chief guest of the conference and shared her experiences of student movement with the new student comrades and appealed to join the movement to create a progressive and peaceful society.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Prof. S N Malakar, JNU, Prof.Dinesh Varshney, DU, Dhirender Sharma, Delhi state secretary AITUC.
Resolutions passed in the conference were to fight for corruption in commonwealth games and to fight against FDI in campuses.
At last new state council elected with 31 members in which office bearers elected are Secretary –Victor Dhissa, President- Sudhanshu Lal, Vice president-Amit Yadav, Durgesh Tripathi, Suraj Kumar, Joint Sec-Kunal Chandra Suman, Aparajitha Raja, Laraib Akram & Treasurer-Dhirendra tiwari
Newly elected President Sudhanshu delivered his speech and asked for involvement of all the sections in nation building. Secretary Victor Dhissa also emphasized on problems in the our country and appealed to all AISF comrades to fight against social evils. Conference also addressed by Roshan Suchan national treasurer. Conference was concluded by Aparajitha Raja with warm thanks to all student comrades.
